Abstract

This research deals with the study of some Greco-Roman coins discovered in archaeological sites in the Red Sea, including the Skeet Valley branching from the Valley of Beauty and then the area of Bernike to the south of it and we will review the topics depicted on this currency, diameter, weight, mint and the denomination of each currency in its own table and then we will make an analytical comparison study between these currencies. The research paper aims to find out the origin of these coins if they were minted in an Egyptian house or coming from abroad during commercial transactions due to the large number of ports located on the Red Sea in the Greek and Roman eras, which may have allowed this to happen.
