Peer Review Process

The journal follows a specific mechanism for Reviewing and publication in double-blinded way of research as follows:

  • The research must be submitted to the journal at least two months before the date of issuance of the issue to be published. By submitting an electronic copy of the research via the journal's e-mail or on the journal's website.
  • After receiving the research from the author. It is subjected to an initial examination, which includes verifying the compatibility of the plagiarism ratio with the standards accepted by the Supreme Council of Universities) by the editorial board. It makes its decision to pass it to the appropriate reviewers according to the topic covered by the research, and the editorial board has the right to refer to the researcher to make some necessary modifications to it before sending it to the reviewers. It can also refuse to accept the research completely if it deems that.
  • In the event of initial acceptance of the research, the editorial board determines the names of the two reviewers who will evaluate and review it and write the final report on it (the work of the reviewers usually takes no more than a month).
  • The research is sent with the name of the author (or authors) omitted, to two reviewers, and each of them is required to write a report on the research that includes the validity of the research for publication. The evaluation process takes place electronically through the electronic system of the journal if the research is uploaded directly to the aforementioned journal website, and copies are sent from these reports, with the omission of the names of the reviewers, to the author who corresponds with the journal. When the reviewers or one of them requests to make amendments to the research and to inform him of the outcome of the evaluation, as well as to make the corrections that the two reviewers may suggest as a condition for the research to become valid for publication. If the two reviewers disagree, the research is sent to a third reviewer, and his report is final. If the response of any reviewer is delayed for more than a month from the date the search was sent to him, he is sent to him urgently, and then if another month passes without a response from him, he is notified of withdrawing the research and it is sent to another reviewer. The evaluation process comes with one of three outcomes: either accepting the research for publication without modifications, or accepting it with modifications, or an apology for not accepting it. In the second case (accepting the research with modifications), it is sent to the researcher to make the modifications specified by the reviewers. The researcher is not allowed at this stage to make any modification, including addition or deletion, other than what was decided by the reviewers. The author must make these amendments and send them to the editorial board of the journal within a period not exceeding two weeks.
  • After making the modifications by the author, the editorial board reviews it to ensure that all the modifications have been satisfactorily taken into account, then the research is sent to the language editor, whose work takes no more than two weeks.
  • The research is then subject to a final stage of scrutiny and review by the editorial board, during which it is ensured that the research is free of any linguistic or spelling errors, as well as ensuring that all articles in the issue expected to be issued conform to the specifications of the journal. After that, it is saved in PDF format for publishing on the journal's website.
